Speech-Therapy-NJ-1

Services

Leah offers a variety of speech services throughout Bergen County, including:

Speech-Evaluation-Hoboken-NJ

Leah uses a variety of assessment tools to accurately diagnose the presence of a speech or language deficit.  Evaluations use a combination of background information, standardized testing, parent interviews, and informal observation. Assessments are typically conducted within the child’s home. A comprehensive report will then be written, which includes an in-depth write up and analysis of standardized testing and a discussion of findings.  It will also include recommendations such as if therapy is warranted as well as frequency, length, and duration of treatment sessions.

Speech-Consultation-Hoboken-NJ

Consultations assist in gathering pertinent information regarding the child which includes background history and any prior assessments or evaluations that were completed.  A consultation is usually completed when the child has already been diagnosed with a speech or language delay/deficit and treatment is necessary.  The consultation serves to establish treatment goals and determine the best treatment approach to meet the child’s needs.    Consultations also include collaboration with teachers within the child’s school environment to provide strategies that assist in meeting speech/language goals.
